Histology studies the structure of tissues and is a requiered discopline in pretty much every college biology/health science program, medical school, and PA school. It is definitely one of the more difficult courses in the basic sciences mainly because there are so few resources that teach it well.

While they may be difficult to find there are a few courses especially on platforms like Udemy and elsehwhere that actually do teach Histology well. in this article I will be reviewing the best online histology courses.

One of the reasons why I like this course is because it teaches histology from an organ/systems based approach which makes it easier to learn.

This is a course available on Udemy which is taught by the well known lecturer Dr. Najeeb, who has 4.8 Instructor Rating on the Udemy platofrm. What makes this course different fromt he others is how engaging Dr, Najeeb’s videos are, and also how simplified the concepts are. Additionally the course is relevant for anyone taking the USMLE step 1 exam.

This is also a good course for physician assistants, attending doctors ,and pharmacists. This course only costs $13.99

This is a free course that is offered on the online learning platform The Open University. The course is divided into 4 weeks and consists of the following topics: Intro to Histology, Tissues and cells, Tissue structure and function and Recognizing diseases.

Additionally there is a quiz at the end of the weeks to assess your understanding of the material. As the course description states the course is ideal for students studying human biology at school or university, medical laboratory scientists and anyone interested in biomedical science.

This is a histology course which can be found on the learning platform Udemy. As the title alludes to the course is meant to prepare medical students as well as other health care students for class exams.

According to the website the purpose of the course id to introduce This is a graduate level course offered in the fall, and as the website states the objectives of the course are to give students an introductory idea about how the structure and organization and shape of tissues relates to their functions

The course is easy to register for. Students can register as a non degree seeking student simply by going to the website and clicking where it says “register now” which will allow them to the option to enroll as a non matriculated student. Once you do this, you simply have to contact the registrar for the course.
